이루리 7회 개인전 PANG's_ Becoming - 되어가는 촌제들
나는 늘 존재의 결을 바라보며 작업해왔다.
반복되는 하루 속에서 우리는 매 순간 변하고 흔들리며, 다시 자리 잡는다. 그 속에서 태어난 캐릭터 '팡'은 나의 또 다른 자아로, 세상의 시선에 혼들리면서도 자기 안의 목소리를 잃지 않 으려는 노력의 촌재이다.
팡은 관람자와 마주하며 '너도 괜찮고, 나도 괜찮다'는 말을 세상에 건냈다. 그 안에는 다름을 인정하는 용기와 서로의 불완전합을 포용하려는 이야기가 담겨 있었다. 이번 전시는 자신 안 의 고요와 마주하며 균형을 찾아가는 과정을 이야기하고자 한다.
삶은 완성이 아니라, 무너지고 다시 쌓아올리는 연습이 연속이다. 이어짐과 흘어짐이 맞물리 는 그 순간, 희망과 불안의 공존을 마주한다. 그 경험은 다음 시도의 형태를 정하기도 한다. 쌓고 무너뜨리며 다시 쌓아올리는 행위는 단순한 수공이 아니라, 삶을 이어가는 우리의 태도 이자, 불안과 희망이 맞물린 반복의 과정이다.
작품 숙 팡은 더 이상 완성된 존재가 아니라, '되어가는 존재'로 머물고자 한다. 틀림과 실때 마저 '되어감'의 일부이며, 우리는 그 반복 속에서 조금씩 나아간다.
이 전시는 완벽함을 향한 다집이 아니라, 불완전함을 품고서도 계속 '되어가는 촌재들'에게 보 내는 작은 위로의 시간이 되길 바란다.

PANG’s Becoming — The Becoming Beings
I have long sought to trace the texture of existence.
Amid the repetitions of daily life, we change, waver, and regain balance again and again.
From that ceaseless flow emerged Pang—a figure of another self, striving not to lose its inner voice while being swayed by the world’s gaze.
Facing the viewer, Pang quietly says, “You’re okay, and so am I.”
Within that gentle assurance lies the courage to embrace differences and the grace to accept imperfection.
This exhibition reflects on the moments of stillness in which one encounters oneself and seeks equilibrium within.
Life is not a state of completion but a continual practice of collapse and reconstruction.
At the intersection of continuity and dispersion, hope and uncertainty coexist, shaping the contours of each new attempt.
The act of stacking, breaking down, and rebuilding is more than craftsmanship—
it is a posture toward living, where anxiety and hope intertwine in repetition.
In these works, Pang is no longer a finished being but one who chooses to remain in the flux of becoming.
Mistakes and failures are folded into that process,
and through repetition, we move forward—gradually, imperfectly, yet earnestly.
This exhibition is not a declaration of perfection,
but a quiet offering of solace to all becoming beings
who continue to live while holding their own incompleteness.
